Pasadena Public Library

Free Wireless Access Pasadena Public Library is participating in a pilot project with the Houston Area Library Automated Network (HALAN) to bring wireless Internet access to patrons. Library users can bring their own wireless-ready laptops to the Library and connect to the Internet from anywhere in the building. This project is a first step to providing patrons with a wide range of wireless services. Hardware Requirements You will need a WiFi-compliant 802.11b or g wireless Ethernet device installed in your laptop or a laptop with built-in WiFi capability. Software Requirements Use a web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Exploreror Netscape. Set your TCP client software to obtain addresses automatically from a server.
